Agenda: Combatting Ocean Acidification and Increasing Microplastics and Its Impact on Marine Biodiversity

The world currently produces around 35 billion tons of Carbon Emissions a year and around a quarter of the amount is absorbed by oceans, gravely affecting all coastal and island nations. More than one third of the world's population lives in countries that would be most vulnerable to Ocean Acidification. Moreover, the countries most susceptible to the ill effects of Ocean pollution are the ones with the highest emissions. The Committee will deliberate on Treaty Formations and New Alliances to combat global stress on oceans.
